Agricultural data infrastructure

One data layer for everyone in the value chain.

Farmer1st is a multi-stakeholder data platform where farmers own and control their information, and every other actor — brands, traders, cooperatives, NGOs, governments — accesses it under clear, auditable authorization. Built to integrate with the systems you already use.

§ 01 · How it works

One platform. Five actor types.

Each with their own interface, all operating on the same underlying data — with farmers in control.

Farmer

A mobile app, offline-capable and available in 13 languages. Farmers contribute data, consent to sharing, and receive payment directly to mobile money.

Node · 01

Cooperative

A management interface for member records, supply tracking, and program coordination. Cooperatives retain independent extraction rights over their member data.

Node · 02

Brand / Trader

An access portal with invitation-based data sharing, EUDR-ready reporting, and integration endpoints for enterprise systems.

Node · 03

NGO

Modules for targeted program delivery, field data collection, and impact measurement on the same farmer records the rest of the network sees.

Node · 04

Government

Administration dashboards for national traceability, sector oversight, and policy-level analytics, with full data residency control.

Node · 05
§ 02 · Governance

Data governance, without ambiguity.

Who sees what, at what level of detail, in which jurisdiction — decided by the actors involved, enforced by the platform.

01

Authorization-based sharing

Every data flow between actors is governed by explicit authorization. Actors share only what they choose, with whom they choose, at the level of detail they choose.

02

Cooperative data sovereignty

Cooperatives maintain independent rights over their member data, including extraction. Their relationship with a brand does not transfer ownership of the underlying records.

03

Anonymization by access right

Data can flow identified or anonymized depending on the receiving party's authorization level. Configurable at the dataset and field level.

04

Data residency and encryption

Multi-cloud architecture with local instance support. Double-layer encryption at rest and in transit. Data residency configurable per jurisdiction, including EU-specific constraints.

§ 03 · Interoperability

Interoperable by design.

Meet GFNet — the Global Farmer Network.

GFNet is the integration layer that connects Farmer1st to the systems our clients already rely on. Whatever traceability platform, ERP, or proprietary enterprise tool you use, GFNet lets the data flow in and out cleanly — as a plugin, not a replacement.

§ 04 · Services

What we deliver

Four service families, used together or independently.

01

Compliance & Integrity

EUDR, CSRD, and CSDDD support. GPS polygon mapping, deforestation validation, due diligence documentation, audit-ready reporting.

02

Agronomy & Environment

Farm surveys, tree inventories, carbon and agroforestry monitoring, AI-assisted advisory in local languages.

03

Data & Connectivity

Offline-capable mobile apps, open APIs, and the GFNet integration layer for enterprise and partner systems.

04

Market Access

Farmer digital identity, verifiable production records, and direct channels between buyers and producers.

§ 05 · Rationale

Farmer-first isn't just ethics. It's better data.

Higher quality

Farmers who are paid for their data have an incentive to submit accurate, complete records. Our validation layers — GPS metadata, photo verification, AI checks — build on that foundation.

Direct channel to producers

Payment verification without field visits. Rapid communication on program updates. Real-time quality assurance that doesn't depend on intermediary reporting.

Defensible in audit

Consent-based data collection with explicit records. Clear chain of custody. Regulators and auditors see exactly who authorized what, and when.
